Brian Brunette - 1980's
Brian Brunette is a retired junior middleweight professional boxer from Saint Paul, Minnesota. He made his professional debut in July 1980, winning by a second-round knockout.
Throughout his career, Brian achieved significant success, amassing a professional record of 24 wins (18 by knockout) and 1 loss. His most notable fight took place in September 1986, when he faced Patrizio Oliva for the WBA Light Welterweight title in Italy. Unfortunately, due to an accidental thumbing in his left eye, Brian lost this bout when his trainer stopped the fight in the third round.
Brian retired later that year after winning a fight against Billy Travers. His final career record included victories over notable boxers such as Bruce Strauss and Gary Holmgren, the latter of whom earned him the Minnesota Junior Middleweight title.
