Brian and Family Before His Boxing Career

Brian Brunette, Second Base, from St. Paul, MN

Brian played Second Base and Designated Hitter (DH) for the 1977 Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) Baseball Team 1976 and 1977 Regional Championship Team 2. Brian batted Right and threw Right. He was 5’11”, 170 pounds, majoring in Physical Education.

He was one of 4 hockey players on the squad, but baseball was always his first love. Midwest scouts recommended IWCC to Brian, who decided playing at a small school could only improve his chances at pro ball.

Brian was a Regional High School All-American in Minnesota, leading his team to an 18-6 record while hitting .533. He was counted on heavily at the plate because Brian has tremendous hitting instincts.
